Spaghetti Bolognese
This right here, is an all time family favorite. It was even our daughter's requested last dinner before leaving for Navy Bootcamp. It's not a quick meal, but that's why I make this double batch and freeze leftovers, so you have a from scratch bolognese for other meals on those days when you are busy. All the taste, and the work was done another day.
Don’t eat my nachos, they’re na-chos
Look at Us? I remember this day. Falling over laughing while ice skating. Funny how a blurry photo can bring back so many feelings. Love, laughter, fun, my best friend, always real. What’s amazing, is that’s how everyday is with him. Except for Nachos. Yes, nachos. If this were a “Friends” episode, it wold be titled ” the one about the nachos”. I love nachos. Especially the really not good for you ones, with the fake, spicy, gooey cheese you get at a movie theatre. It was the first time taking the kiddos to the drive in. They loved it. The brisk air, the blankies and pillows, candy and…
Allspice Apple Crisp
Like apple crisp, but fully spice loaded and apples that are sweetly coated, giving it that little extra somethin', somethin'.
Creamy Lemon Chicken
Moist, tender lemon flavored grilled chicken, topped with a creamy lemon sauce. Not too much lemon, not too little lemon, just enough lemon that makes you say is that lemon I taste ? š
Red Light
What if you could read the minds ofĀ people around you? What would that sound like? Red Light I hate red lights. Such a waste of my time. Ok, you can turn green anytime now, I’m going to be late. Ugh! COME ON!! Here I am frustrated and look at this guy next to me. Calm as a cucumber, not a care in the world. Lucky him. Must be nice to not have stress. Uh oh! He just caught me staring! His eye’s look so sad. I wonder why? As quickly as I pondered what the cause of his sadness was, I…
Cinnamon Crumb Banana Bread
Deliciously moist banana bread, with a cinnamon crumble topping. This one is a family fav, a friend fav and my husbands requests to share with coworkers. Great for dessert, an after school snack for the kids or even breakfast with a nice hot cup of coffee.
Aloha Banana Bread
Banana bread, with a twist! Sweet chunks of pineapple add sweetness and moisture, making this banana bread that much more decadent.
Hymn To A Good Wife
Let that settle in for a minute. What does that look like to you? What does that look like for me? For me, I’ve struggled most of my adult life with what my purpose or calling from God would be. If you’re a working mom, God bless you.. I don’t know how you do it. And to boot, you get scrutinized for not staying home with your kids. Us that stay home, get scrutinized for not working and earning a paycheck. Neither of us can seem to win. But for a moment, I want to share my struggle with feeling inadequate or “not enough”, because I am a homemaker. I…
Easy Brown Rice
Brown rice that is perfectly fluffy and flavorful every time. The Instant Pot by far, has been my favorite way to get great brown rice every time. Using chicken stock for flavor, keeps it healthy and yet not lacking in flavor.
Rosemary Chicken Soup
If you’re looking for that canned variety of noodles or stars, lacking in flavor, this is not the soup for you. If you want a bowl of yummy goodness, with depths of flavor of stemming from rosemary (rosemary is my FAV!), chicken stock and just a little bit of kick, then go grab a pot and let’s get goin’.
