Caramel Apple Roll Pie
Caramel Apple Roll Pie
Caramel apples, cinnamon rolls and pie, all ran into each other. That's what this is. A happy accident. A sweet, delicious accident.
Ingredients
- 6 Apples Peeled and sliced
- 1 cup Brown sugar Packed
- 1 1/2 tsp Pie spice
- 2 tbsp Corn starch
- 2 cans Refrigerated cinnamon rolls
- Flour For dusting
Instructions
-
Peel and slice 6 apples.
-
To the apples, add brown sugar, pie spice and corn starch. Stir to mix.
-
Spray a pie pan with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
-
On a floured dusted cutting board, using a rolling pin, roll out each cinnamon roll, one at a time. Until they reach about 6 inches in diameter. Ballpark it, it's not too big a deal. As you roll each roll, place in pie pan, edges first, then fill up the bottom.
-
Once bottom layer is done, pour apple mixture over rolls.
-
Next, roll out second can of rolls just like the first roll, except put first roll in the center, then build your circle around edges. Until covered.
-
Place pie in a 350 preheated oven, on a lower rack. This ensures bottom is cooked and top doesn't brown to quickly. Cook 45-60 minutes.
-
Let cool. Top with homemade caramel sauce and extra when serving.
