Why wait for Thanksgiving? My favorite part of the holiday is making the leftover sandwiches! Turkey, mayo, stuffing, cranberry sauce... drooling as I type. So I came up with a way to have Thanksgiving all year round. I give you Thanksgiving burgers! You're welcome.
Make stuffing according to directions, set aside.
Dice onion. In a small sauté pan, add a bit of butter and sauté onions until translucent. Set aside.
In a medium sized bowl, add ground turkey, onion, bread crumbs, onion salt, pepper, rosemary and eggs. Mix by hand until well incorporated. Form mixture into 8 hamburger type patties.
In a large sauté pan, add oil. On medium heat, add 4 of the patties. Cook about 7 minutes per side until thoroughly cooked and slightly browned. As needed, if they're browning too quickly, add a 1/4 of a cup of water at a time to slow down the browning process. You can even add a lid, to help steam the patties. When done, transfer to a platter and cook remainder patties.
While patties are cooking, heat a griddle or sauté pan. Form patties out of the cooked stuffing. Place 4 stuffing patties into pan. Brown evenly on each side. Transfer to platter. Set aside.
Now, build your burger!
Spread desired amount of mayonnaise onto a bun. Place one stuffing patty onto bottom bun. Place turkey patty, atop stuffing. Next, spoon desired amount of whole cranberry sauce over the turkey burger. Top with remainder bun.
Alas, I give you... Thanksgiving Burger. Enjoy. I know I did ☺️
